Quick Review: Sigma 50mm f1.4 HSM DG Art
Back to Blog |The whole photography community has been enamoured with Sigma 50mm f1.4 HSM DG Art ever since it was announced by Sigma a few months ago. It was slated as being king-of-the-hill 50mm and it has definitely lived up to it's name. The lens has been proven by numerous reviews around the world to the be sharpest 50mm lens available for 35mm and crop-sensored DSLR cameras - practically on par with the $4000 Zeiss Otus 55mm f1.4!

This brand new lens is quite the looker - made from Sigma's special Thermally Stable Composite material, the lens is exceptionally well made. The focus ring is buttery smooth and located in the perfect position for accurate manual focusing.
The sharpness of the lens wide open is simply phenomenal. Richard is looking super sharp in this image... :D
