Competition Time: Most #EpicSelfie Wins a Selfie Stick!

Succumbed to the Selfie Culture yet? If you’re feeling a little camera shy then we’ve got just the prize to tempt you. This month, we’re giving away a Monopod Extension Pole! Simply enter by tagging us in your Selfie submitted via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
A few handy tips from the judges: Legendary locations, mid-action selfies, in-store selfies and stealth-fies are just a few ideas to get you going. Definite favouritism will be shown towards “Go Big or Go Home” attitudes. #YeahWeSaidIt
Once we’ve sorted the Legends from the Laymen, we pick our 5 favourites before posting them to our Facebook page and putting the vote to the people. If your Selfie manages to garner the most “Likes” then you’ll walk away with the Monopod Extension Pole and a Slow Clap from the Cameraland team. Because you’d be a Legend. And Legends deserve a Slow Clap.

How the Competition Works
Step 1: Tag us in your selfie before 30 August (Twitter tag: @Cameralandct | Instagram tag: @Cameralandct | Facebook tag: @Cameraland SA)*
Step 2: We shortlist 5 of the most epic selfies submitted on 31 August.
Step 3: We post the 5 shortlisted selfies on our Facebook page and put them to a vote. The one with the most “Likes” by Friday 4 September @ noon is pronounced the winner and gets to take home the Selfie Stick.

How to tag Cameraland in a photo on Twitter: Make sure you "Follow" our Twitter account. Create a new Tweet and, after adding your Selfie, click on "Who's in this photo" and type @Cameralandct. Our Twitter account should pop up in a drop down menu as you type- click on it and "Tweet". Or, "Mention" us in the tweet with the Selfie attached.
How to tag Cameraland in a photo on Instagram: Follow our Instagram account. Upload or open an existing Selfie, select "Edit" and "Tag People". Tap anywhere on the photo and then begin to type @Cameralandct. Our account should pop up in the dropdown menu, select it and select the tick icon in the top corner of the screen to save. If you are having any issues tagging then "Mention" us in a comment under the photo and we'll accept it as an entry as well.
How to tag Cameraland in a photo on Facebook: First, make sure you "Like" our Facebook Page before either uploading a new Selfie or opening an existing one on your Facebook profile. Once the Selfie is open, select "Tag Photo", click anywhere on the photo and start typing "Cameraland". Our page (Cameraland SA) should pop up in the drop down menu- click on it and select "Done Tagging".
Some Facebook profiles might not let you tag us in this way and, if this is the case, you may "Mention" us in the description of the photo or in the status of your new post. This is done by posting a new photo as per normal and then, in the "say something about this photo" field, start typing "Camerland SA" and click on our profile in the drop down menu. If you would like to mention us in an existing Selfie on Facebook, then open the photo, select "Edit Description", start typing "Camerland SA" and click on our profile in the drop down menu.
