Established in 1958 as Shap’s Cameraland, we’ve been at the heart of Cape Town’s photographic community for over 60 years. From pioneering one-hour photo development in the 1980s to embracing the digital revolution in the early 2000s, Cameraland has continually evolved to meet the needs of photographers and creatives.
In 2012, we reimagined our Long Street flagship store to include a state-of-the-art showroom, training spaces, a rooftop event deck, and more—creating a truly immersive photographic hub. Today, we continue to innovate as a fully integrated e-commerce platform, offering expert service both online and by appointment at our 8th-floor creative space at 66 Long street, with free parking for our clients at 55 Hout street.
