Leica’s Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm f/2.8-4 ASPH Lens offers fast standard zoom lens performance that is designed to perfectly compliment Leica camera technology. The lens features 18 elements in 15 groups, incorporating 11 anomalous partial dispersion elements and four aspherical elements. This combination is designed to significantly reduce lens distortions and chromatic aberrations for improved clarity and image sharpness throughout the zoom range of the lens. The Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm f/2.8-4 ASPH Lens is also versatile and can be used in a variety of lighting conditions, thanks to its f/2.8 – f/22 aperture range with a maximum aperture of f/2.8-4.

Leica have incorporated a number of features into the Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm f/2.8-4 ASPH Lens which makes it ideal for everyday use, both within a variety of lighting conditions and shooting situations. The lens incorporates a 3.5-stop optical image stabilization system that noticeably reduces camera shake for sharper and clearer images. A sophisticated stepping motor with linear positioning offers silent and smooth, fast autofocus and the internal focusing design features a non-rotating ring for use with circular graduated ND filters or polarizers. The lens also features AquaDura coatings on both front and rear optical surfaces for increased water resistance. While the lens is primarily designed for use with Leica’s full-frame mirrorless cameras, it can also be used with APS-C-sized models as well.
