Admires of the X-T1, this could be just what you’ve been saving up for, FujiFIlm have announced the X-T10 camera, the latest in their X-series range of digital cameras. What’s under the hood?

The X-T10 matches the X-T1 using the same 16-megapixel APS-C X-Trans II CMOS sensor and EXR II processor, providing the same level of image quality. The X-T10 will also shoot video in 1080p and 60 frames per second which is also on par with the X-T1. In terms of battery performance the X-T10 is good for 350 images per charge, which is the same as the X-T1.

Some new additions

The system firmware update to version 4.00 will be available for the X-T10 too and provide the same nifty additions the X-T1 received. The autofocus system will have 77 points with variable sizes of zones with the ability to track moving subjects within the frame. While the new autofocus system gives both cameras the same level of autofocus performance. ISO can be adjusted from 100-25600, or set to automatic.

Compatibility of the X-T10

FujiFilm’s X-10 digital camera will be compatible with any of the 18 XF and XC lenses available from Fujifilm, as well as third-party lenses made for the X-mount.

Not quite like its big brother

Where the X-T1 pulls away as being a superior offering and still a pretty enticing purchase for those serious photographers who want that bit extra is the weather sealed body and support for additional accessories like the vertical grip.

However, if you’re a less serious photographer looking for top of the range image quality and performance for a much smaller monetary investment you will be more than happy with what the X-T10 has to offer.
